Here you have our song of the week, "Rather be", and another song by Beyonce, "If I were a boy". In both of these songs they use one type of conditional, especially in Beyonce's, because she describes all the things she would do if she were a boy.
What type of conditional is used in both songs? can you put an example of each? Comment below for a positive in English.
Hi Macarena I'm Laura Bisca, in both songs is used the Second conditional. Rather Be: If you gave me a chance I would take it. If I were a boy: If I were a boy I would turn off my phone
Beyonce - Second conditional: If I were a boy...I would turn off my phone.... Rather Be - Zero conditional:If you gave me a chance there is no place I´d rather be... by Alvaro Maestre 6D
Well done, Álvaro, but the zero conditional example is: "when I AM with you there'S no place I'd rather be" Sometimes we use "when" instead of "if" "If you GAVE me a chance I WOULD take it" is an example of second conditional.
Hello Macarena, I'm Cristina. One conditional sentence of RATHER BE is: If you gave me a chance I would take it.SECOND CONDITIONAL. And from IF I WERE I BOY: If I were a boy I’d roll outta bed in the morning.SECOND CONDITIONAL.
Hello I´m Luis Miguel (6C). The conditionals of the songs are in both the second conditional. Examples: - If I were a boy I would roll out of bed in the morning. -If I were a boy I think I could understand how it feels to love a girl. -If I were a boy I would turn of my phone. -If you thought I would wait for you.
Hi Macarena: In the song "Rather be" they use SECOND CONDITIONAL: "If you gave me a chance I would take it." In the song "If I were a boy" they use SECOND CONDITIONAL: " If I were a boy I would roll out of bed" and " If I were a boy I think I could understand" . And there are more second conditionals in the song.
