• Today you are going to check what you know by doing the 3 quizes on pages 27, 29 and 31 (it's exercise 5 of each page).
• You have to write your answers on your notebook (remember to always write the date, the page and the exercise). You don't have to copy the question, only the answers, so that tomorrow you can correct yourselves.

Social Science EXAM and ESSAY.

So, as we have already finished UNIT 2 of SOCIAL SCIENCE, we have to do an EXAM.
It will be after the holidays, on Tuesday, 14th April and we will do it online, like the English one we have next week.

In order to have more marks from you, you are also going to do an ESSAY (un trabajo).
You also have to hand in the essay on Tuesday, 14th April. That is the last day for you to send it to us, but you can also send it before that time.

You are going to do it in a Word document. You can send it to us by email or using the FILE tool in ClassDojo:

What is the essay about??
Well, as we can't go out of our homes, we thought it would be nice to plan a trip and go there with our imagination.
You are going to imagine you have a TRAVEL AGENCY (una agencia de viajes).
You are going to CHOOSE A EUROPEAN COUNTRY, the one you prefer (it can't be Spain).
You are going to prepare a BROCHURE (un folleto o panfleto) for your clients, so that they get to know the country before going.

• Play a KAHOOT! that Ashley has prepared for you to revise.
  Remember that you have to use the Kahoot App for this, and you have to type the code 0379861. Also, you have until Sunday at 2pm to complete it.
  
  Please please write your real name, the first letter of your surname and your class so that we know who did it and who didn't do it. For example "MacarenaR6C"
  
  Today you don't have to submit anything through ClassDojo.

Don't worry, it's going to be easier than the exams we do in class, but I need to evaluate you because we don't know how long this situation is going to last. 

Remember that I always ask about VOCABULARY, GRAMMAR (in this case FUTURE TENSES and some MODAL VERBS, the ones you practiced on page 41) and IRREGULAR VERBS.

Today I've chosen a song that I like a lot because of its message. Listen to it carefully and try to understand what it means. 

Because of what we are going through now, it's normal to feel a little sad or anxious sometimes. But remember you have to "keep climbing" this "mountain". I'm sure you are being very brave!!! 💪

Here's what you have to do:

• Listen to the song and try to fill in the gaps with the words you hear. The answers will be uploaded tomorrow, as usual.
  
• Underline or circle all the examples of future forms you can hear in the song. Remember that in coloquial English, people say "gonna" with the meaning of "going to".
  
• Enjoy! If you want you can send me a video via Dojo singing the song :) I'd love to hear you!!!

• If you need to, watch the videos where I explain how to use these tenses again. You can find them HERE
• Do EXERCISE 1 and EXERCISE 2 of mixed future tenses. Think about each sentence very carefully:
  
  Is it a PREDICTION, a FACT, a REQUEST, a PROMISE or an OFFER?? Then you use WILL.
  
  Is it an INTENTION or PLAN, or a PREDICTION BASED ON EVIDENCE??? Then you use GOING TO.
  
  Is it an ARRANGEMENT??? Then you use PRESENT CONTINUOUS
  
  Is it a SCHEDULED EVENT?? Then you use PRESENT SIMPLE.

Here's the work that you must do today. Remember that you should take this seriously, as if we were in school. All this counts for the final mark and we'll have tests when you come back, so work hard, please!

SOCIAL SCIENCE

• Read pages 24 and 25 on your Social Science book at least 3 times.

• Do exercise 3 on a piece of paper or on your notebook if you have it.

• Look up these words on a MONOLINGUAL DICTIONARY and write the definitions:

If you do this on a piece of paper, remember:

- Use a white piece of paper and do not cut it out.

- Respect the margins.
