Modern and Contemporary Spain

To better understand the events that took place during the 19th and 20th centuries in Spain, we played a game in class in which each student had 2 or 3 cards with dates and events. They had to walk around the class and find the corresponding date or event. After that, they had to stick them on the board in chronological order.
It turned out to be a rather motivating and fun activity, and really useful for students to better organise all the information in their heads.
After doing the activity with all the 6th grade classes, we put it up on a display in the hallway. This is the result! Well done everyone! :)

French Revolution

Hello, everyone!

We have learned about the French Revolution in class, and how it affected Spanish history. Answer the following questions in the "comments" box for a positive in Social Science!!! Answers will be published next week, and you will not be able to comment later than that.

1) What year was the French Revolution?
2) Why was there a revolution?
3) While the ideas of the French Revolution were very advanced and beneficial to society in the long run... do you think the means to achieve these liberal ideas was appropriate? Explain your answer.

Now, listen to this song from "Les misérables".
